Frequently Asked Questions

Question 1

Where are courses delivered?

Accepted Answer

All of our courses are delivered in-house at your premises. We come to you, which means no travel costs or time away from work for your team. We can deliver at any location across the UK.

Question 2

How many delegates can attend each session?

Accepted Answer

Most of our courses are designed for groups of up to 12 delegates per session. For practical courses such as Moving & Handling or Basic Life Support, smaller groups of 6–8 are recommended to ensure everyone gets sufficient hands-on practice time. We can discuss the right group size for your specific needs.

Question 3

Can training be tailored to our organisation?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We always take time to understand your sector, your team, and your specific challenges before delivering training. Our courses are adapted to reflect your policies, procedures, and the real situations your staff face day to day.

Question 4

Do you deliver training outside of normal working hours?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we can accommodate early morning, evening, and weekend sessions where required. We understand that care and other services operate around the clock, and we are flexible to fit around your rota.

Question 5

Can we book training for multiple sites?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We work with organisations that have multiple locations and can coordinate a training programme across all of your sites. Get in touch to discuss a multi-site training plan.

Question 6

How much does training cost?

Accepted Answer

Our pricing is based on the course, the number of delegates, and your location. Because we deliver in-house, you pay a day or half-day rate rather than a per-person fee, which makes us highly cost-effective for teams. Contact us for a tailored quote.

Question 7

How do I book a course?

Accepted Answer

Simply get in touch via our enquiry form or give us a call on 07752 303404. We will discuss your requirements, agree a date, and confirm everything in writing. There is no complicated booking process — we keep it straightforward.

Question 8

Do you require a deposit?

Accepted Answer

We typically ask for a booking confirmation and may request a deposit for larger or multi-day programmes. Full details will be confirmed when you book. We will always be clear about payment terms upfront.

Question 9

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

We understand that plans can change. We ask for as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Our cancellation terms will be set out clearly in your booking confirmation. Please contact us as soon as possible if your circumstances change.

Question 10

How far in advance should I book?

Accepted Answer

We recommend booking at least two to four weeks in advance to secure your preferred date, particularly for popular courses such as Moving & Handling and Medication Management. That said, we will always do our best to accommodate urgent requests where possible.

Question 11

Can you help us plan an annual training calendar?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We work with many organisations to plan a full year of training, ensuring all mandatory and refresher courses are scheduled at the right intervals. This takes the pressure off managers and ensures your team stays compliant throughout the year.

Question 12

How long do refresher courses need to be booked in advance?

Accepted Answer

Refresher courses follow the same booking process as full courses. We recommend planning refreshers at least a month before certificates are due to expire, to avoid any gaps in compliance. We can help you track renewal dates if needed.

Question 13

Will delegates receive a certificate?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All delegates who successfully complete a course receive a certificate of attendance or completion. Certificates are issued promptly after training and can be used as evidence of compliance for CQC inspections, audits, and staff records.

Question 14

Are your courses recognised by the CQC?

Accepted Answer

Our courses are designed to meet the requirements set out by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and align with Skills for Care guidance. While the CQC does not formally accredit individual training providers, our programmes are built to satisfy inspection requirements and demonstrate a well-trained, competent workforce.

Question 15

How often should staff repeat mandatory training?

Accepted Answer

Recommended renewal frequencies vary by subject. As a general guide, most mandatory subjects such as Moving & Handling, Safeguarding, Medication Management, and Basic Life Support should be refreshed annually. We can advise on the appropriate frequency for each course based on current best practice and regulatory guidance.

Question 16

Can training records be used as evidence during a CQC inspection?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Certificates and training records issued by Pinder Training can be presented as evidence of staff competence during a CQC inspection. We recommend keeping a training matrix that records each staff member's completed courses and renewal dates.

Question 17

Do you offer a Mock CQC Inspection service?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Our Mock CQC Service Inspection is a two-day programme that mirrors the real inspection process. You will receive a detailed written report and prioritised recommendations to help you prepare with confidence. It is one of our most popular services for registered managers.
